In a noteworthy move, Canada has organised a trade mission to Rio de Janeiro at the end of September. The one day visit program, organised by Export Development Canada (EDC), will involve key meetings with the Rio 2016 Organising Committee, the Rio city council and a number of key Brazilian companies including stadium construction groups Odebrecht and Andrade Guitierrez.
Charles Larabie, the Consul General of Canada and Eric Siegel, the President of EDC will both accompany the mission.
As mentioned in previous posts, the Australian government is currently organising a one-week trade mission to Brazil for the end of November. Further details should be available shortly, however please contact Austrade to express your interest in the mission.
