Upcoming visit to present strong Australian interest in Brazil

As mentioned at the beginning of June, moves are currently underway to have a strong delegation of Australian government and business groups visit Brazil at the end of November to increase ties and trade between the two countries ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics.

At this stage the trade mission is likely to coincide with the Soccerex global football and business conference in Rio from November 20-24; an event that should once again attract the cream of the football and sport industries, including FIFA and world football leaders, major event groups and key government decision makers. One option being considered is a central Australian stand for the event, with the decision depending on the amount of interest for such a venture.

Austrade, through its Sao Paulo office, as well as the Australia Latin America Business Council (ALABC) and Australia Brazil Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) are in the process of determining the best format for the mission and participation at the Soccerex conference.

Please get in touch ASAP with Austrade in Australia or Sao Paulo to register your interest in being a part of the planning.
