Organic products surging ahead of World Cup

A series of presentations is underway throughout Brazil aimed at incentivizing the production of organic products to meet additional demand expected for the 2014 World Cup.

The federal government is planning a range of promotions encouraging both the sale and consumption of such products during the 2014 Cup and is looking to ensure there is sufficient supply around the country in time for the event.

The ‘Organic Cup Caravan’ initiative is primarily aimed at attracting new organic producers and will be visiting 36 municipalities spread around the 12 host cities for the 2014 Cup.
